Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and DevOps to join our dynamic team. This role will play a crucial part in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and infrastructure on GCP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, hands-on experience with GCP services, proficiency in DevOps methodologies, and a knack for automation using Python, Jenkins, and shell scripting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure solutions on GCP.
• Implement best practices for data management, including data ingestion, transformation, and storage on GCP.
• Utilize GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub to process and analyze large datasets.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to optimize AI/ML workflows and models on GCP, including leveraging Vertex AI and Gen AI.
• Automate deployment processes and infrastructure management using Python, Jenkins, and shell scripting.
• Ensure data reliability, efficiency, and security on GCP environments through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with GCP data services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, etc.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting for automation and data pipeline orchestration.
• Experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins.
• Knowledge of AI/ML model optimization techniques, including Vertex AI, Gen AI, and related tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Google Cloud Certification (Associate or Professional level) is a plus.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with data governance and security best practices on GCP.
