Project Overview:
As a PgM within the Shopping org, you’ll be central to the execution of cross-functional initiatives to build experiences and features for Shoppers and Merchants. You drive projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. You work closely with Engineering, Product Management, UX, and Analysts in Shopping teams.
Overall Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, and monitoring of projects and processes, continuous improvements across a variety of fields, as well as ad-hoc advisory and guidance for stakeholders on best practices of execution.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage the activities that lead to the outcomes of a project, what, who, when, and how. Adjust “levers” (e.g., schedule, staffing, features) to deliver results on time.
- Monitor and communicate progress, risks, and mitigations. Work closely with partner teams to manage program changes. Align stakeholders on decisions and changing circumstances. Proactively and independently manage the dependencies and deliverables with other related projects/teams and functions.
- Implement project management tools/processes to streamline development velocity, efficiencies, and cross-functional collaboration. Identify improvements and processes on an ongoing basis through measurement of performance, progress, and success metrics.
Skill/Experience/Education
- (~4-5 yrs relevant work experience) Program Manager Proficient in Planning with the ability to identify stakeholders and work with them to strategize, plan, and prioritize objectives, estimate task durations, and ensure schedules and dependencies are aligned and support those objectives.
- Leverage a variety of methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to make teams most effective.
- Proficient in Execution and Governance with the ability to organize and manage the activities that lead to the outcomes of a project and adjust “levers” (e.g., schedule, staffing, features) to deliver results on time.
- Effectively monitor and communicate progress, risks, and mitigations.
- Demonstrated communication skills and ability to listen effectively to stakeholders, to communicate program goals, progress, and health to them in a manner tailored to their interests and concerns at all levels, and to drive understanding and inform decisions.
- Understands software product lifecycle and program structuring through phases: Ideation, Design, Development, Testing, Experimentation, Roll out, etc
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $56 Hr. (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
