Role: IBM (IIB) Ace Developer

Location: Pittsburgh PA

Responsibilities:

  • Kubernetes and OCP/Microservices knowledge required
  • Unix scripting (Shell Scripting) knowledge required
  • Windows OS level and scripting knowledge required
  • Oracle Database and SQL knowledge is required
  • Informatica ETL knowledge required
  • IBM Integration Bus or WebSphere Message Broker knowledge is required
  • Mainframe knowledge is a plus
  • WebSphere knowledge is a plus
  • Required qualifications to be successful in this role
  • maintain, and optimize Unix shell scripts to automate system administration tasks, streamline workflows, and improve operational efficiency.
  • with system administrators, software engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and design robust shell scripts that meet business needs.
  • monitoring, logging, and error handling mechanisms within shell scripts to ensure system stability and reliability.
  • closely with database administrators to write SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data manipulation, extraction, and reporting purposes.
  • shell scripts with Python scripts and applications to enhance functionality and perform complex data processing tasks.
  • and debug shell script issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for improved performance.
  • with cross-functional teams to support software development, infrastructure automation, and DevOps initiatives.
  • to the documentation of scripts, processes, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system reliability.


Requirements:

  • degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • experience as a Unix shell scripting developer, with in-depth knowledge of shell scripting languages such as Bash, Shell, or Korn shell.
  • in SQL, with hands-on experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.
  • Integration Bus (IIB) or WebSphere Message Broker knowledge is required.
  • working with Fircosoft, Firco Continuity, Firco Utilities is desirable.
  • a strong knowledge of Kafka and Java Spring boot is highly desirable.
  • programming skills in Python, with the ability to develop scripts, automation tools, and applications.
  • with Unix/Linux operating systems, system administration concepts, and command-line utilities.
  • problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues effectively.
  • communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.
