Summary The pharmacy team at Samaritan Health Services invites you to join us as a Traveling Pharmacy Technician. In this vital role, you will assist pharmacists in medication preparation and labeling while performing a wide range of technical support functions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. This position offers a $3.00 per hour float differential for hours worked. Travel will take you between various Samaritan Hospital Pharmacy sites. They play a crucial role in optimizing patient drug therapy and are dedicated to exceptional patient care. To succeed as a Pharmacy Technician with us, you must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with either a current Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician License or be a first-year PharmD student in good standing at an accredited pharmacy school with a current Oregon Board of Pharmacy Intern license. Completion of a Medical Pharmacy Technician course is preferred. Key Qualifications and Skills: Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills to convey complex information effectively and amicably engage with team members. Computer Literacy: Strong knowledge of electronic equipment, software, and applications; ability to operate and manage data. Customer Service: Understanding of customer service principles and processes aimed at assuring high satisfaction. Mathematics: Familiarity with arithmetic, algebra, and their practical applications. Time Management: Proficient in organizing, planning, and prioritizing tasks effectively in fast-paced environments. Clerical Abilities: Knowledge of administrative procedures, including word processing and managing files. Experience and Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. One of the following qualifications is required: Current, unencumbered Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician License. Enrolled first-year PharmD student in good standing with an accredited pharmacy school and current Oregon Board of Pharmacy Intern license. Preference for candidates who have completed a Medical Pharmacy Technician course. All job offers are contingent upon the candidate successfully passing a pre-employment drug screening. Physical Demands: Ability to walk, lift, carry, squat, kneel and stand for extended periods while performing duties associated with pharmacy operations.
