Our Environmental Investigation & Remediation team is seeking a Senior Scientist (EIR Scientist 4) to join our Georgetown, TX team Come join us
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Client management; preparing proposals, including job scopes, budgets, and invoicing.
- Project management; coordination of field programs and schedules.
- Prepare technical work plans and reports applying knowledge of natural sciences (geology, hydrology, chemistry, etc.) to explain observations.
- Support of Senior Project Managers and Principals on projects and with clients by participating in new client/project. development via completion of proposals, client meetings, etc.
- Develop/train staff to meet project needs.
- Become thoroughly familiar with Atlas policies and procedures.
- Complete Atlas' internal Project Manager Training & Certification Program.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years professional experience performing and managing soil and groundwater investigations and remediation, developing work plans and budget estimates, monitoring and maintaining project budgets and schedules, managing subcontractors and field staff, analyzing data, and preparing technical project deliverables.
- Working knowledge of TRRP and PST/LPST rules and regulations.
- P.G. License, or ability to obtain such license is preferred.
Technical Requirements:
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other widely used computer programs.
- Must be well organized, detail oriented, and be able to prioritize and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced consulting. environment with ability of meet internal and external with deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 40 hr. OSHA HAZWOPER certification, current HAZWOPER refresher.
- General knowledge of geologic and environmental concepts (e.g., stratigraphy, geological processes, hydrogeology, etc.).
Other Miscellaneous Qualities:
- Ability to travel up to 25%, within Texas.
- Valid US Driver's license without restrictions.
- Strong organizational skills.
