Our client, a fast-growing insurance defense firm, is seeking talented attorneys at various levels—entry-level, associate, or partner—who have experience or interest in civil defense litigation. The firm handles premises liability, automobile negligence, and construction defect claims and is eager to find candidates who are motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about litigation.


Position Overview:

  • Open to entry-level, associate, and partner-level attorneys.
  • 1-3+ years of insurance defense experience preferred (strongly favoring candidates with third-party insurance defense and general liability background).
  • Opportunity to manage your own caseload while collaborating with senior attorneys on more complex cases.
  • The firm values autonomy and mentorship, providing guidance while encouraging independent responsibility.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of civil defense cases, focusing on:
  • Premises liability
  • Automobile negligence
  • Construction defect claims
  • Assist senior attorneys with high-stakes, complex litigation.
  • Engage in all aspects of case management, from discovery to trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop strategies and ensure timely resolution of cases.
  • Contribute to the firm’s collaborative environment by supporting colleagues and sharing expertise.


Skills and Requirements:

  • Must have insurance defense experience with third-party insurance defense (required; any area of insurance defense is acceptable).
  • Experience in billing clients is required.
  • Good job tenure is essential; candidates must provide strong reasons for any career transitions.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Florida (required).
  • 1-3+ years of insurance defense experience (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of general liability cases.
  • Excellent legal writing and research skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines without micromanagement.
  • A passion for litigation with a desire to continuously learn and refine your legal skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to work as part of a close-knit team.
