The resident Field Service Representative (FSR) will provide technical support and guidance to the Site Maintenance and Management Personnel on Siemens Energy rotating equipment (including the SGT-A05, SGT-A20 and power turbines) as well as associated ancillary equipment, such as air filtration systems, cooling systems, lube oil skids, fuel skids, and vibration monitoring systems. This will include troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis, and assisting the customer develop maintenance strategies to improve performance and reliability.


Field Service Work

  1. Technical Expertise and Problem-Solving:
  2. Provide daily technical support and guidance to customer personnel.
  3. Assist customer troubleshoot daily operational and mechanical issues with gas generators, power turbines, and associated equipment.
  4. Assist customer to develop effective solutions and guide site personnel in resolving problems efficiently.
  5. Root Cause Analysis and Collaboration
  6. Coordinate Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for recurring issues with relevant teams.
  7. Prepare RCFA reports with recommendations for improvement and present them to site management.
  8. System Reviews and Reliability Enhancement:
  9. Conduct comprehensive reviews of gas generator, power turbine, and associated equipment systems in both IT and refridge process areas.
  10. Performance Monitoring and Data Collection
  11. Assist customer in establishing and maintaining operating trend records for gas generators and power turbines, including power output and vibration data.
  12. Assist customer in performing daily checks of critical pressure and flow readings for gas generators and power turbines.


Project Management and Oversight


  1. Provide daily technical support and guidance to site personnel, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  2. Monitor project progress and communicate updates to Site Management and Field Service Manager as agreed upon.


Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program


  1. Assist customer in developing and implementing a PM program for gas generators, power turbines, and associated equipment (SGT-A05, GT22, SGT-A20, RT48S).
  2. Coordinate PM schedules with customer, assign tasks, and ensure site personnel have the necessary resources (information, tools, parts) to complete assignments effectively.


Site Operations and Subcontractor Management:


Assist customer in managing site-specific duties, including coordinating with subcontractors and Site Management when necessary.


Spare Parts Inventory Management


  1. Recommend a critical spares list in collaboration with Site Management.
  2. Assist customer in implementing a site-specific inventory system for spare parts.


Oil, Fuel, and Water Analysis Program


  1. Assist customer with implementing an oil, fuel and water analysis schedule.
  2. Coordinate with site personnel for sample collection and dispatch for analysis using analysis vendor network.
  3. Track and trend critical parameters identified in the analysis.
  4. Report worsening trends or abnormalities and collaborate with site personnel on corrective actions.


Administrative/Documentation


  1. Timekeeping and Reporting:
  2. Maintain accurate weekly timesheets and obtain sign-off from Site Management.
  3. Project Documentation:
  4. Compile and submit weekly Site Work Summaries to Site Management for transparency and project tracking.
  5. Upgrade, Repair, and Overhaul (URO) Recommendations: Identify and report URO opportunities to RWG Management, including critical spare parts shortages and repair requirements for existing spares inventory.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of job experience required.
  • Thorough knowledge of Siemens SGT-A05 Gas Generators, D-R GT-22 Power Turbines, SGT-A20 gas generator and Siemens RT48S power turbine including their operation and internal/external components is required.
  • Thorough knowledge balance of plant equipment and systems.
  • Experience with disassembly and buildup of Gas Generators and Power Turbines.
  • Experience with vibration analysis, laser, and dial indicator alignment and knowledge of different packages/related functions.
  • Field balancing of rotational equipment.
  • Experience with MS word and Excel.
