Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on boardWhy You'll Love This JobThe Strategic Planning & Analysis group contributes to the airline's long-term profitability by supporting Alliances, Loyalty, Network Planning, Revenue Management, Sales, and others through rigorous planning and forecasting of critical assets and resulting capacity and revenue; action-oriented analytics; and effective coordination and execution of cross-functional initiatives and partnerships. This group includes Commercial Analysis, Revenue Analysis, Commercial Planning, Fleet & Infrastructure Analysis, and Network Innovation.This job is a member of the Commercial Planning and Performance team within the Revenue Division.What You'll DoLeads forecasting and planning initiatives regarding American's strategic resources (fleet, infrastructure, partnerships, etc.)Leads a team of analysts responsible for production and analysis of multiple enterprise forecasts, including annual budgets, quarterly five-year-plan high-level forecasts and monthly rolling level updates of capacity, level of operations and revenuePartners with various teams including Network Planning, Revenue Management, Revenue Analysis, Regional Planning, Financial Planning, and Crew Planning, among other internal stakeholders, to ensure delivery of inputs necessary for the production and dissemination of company forecastsLeverage analysis of current performance and future forecasts to identify opportunities for improving and optimizing utilization of assets and resources including crew hours and aircraftLeads a team to identify and quantify revenue opportunities through in-depth analysis of data. Develops and recommends practical revenue management solutions, taking a strong leadership role in a wide variety of revenue initiatives, collaborating with other departments including Pricing, Yield Management, Network Planning, Sales, Finance, AAdvantage, and Marketing.Drives forward top priority commercial initiatives that span across the company and our partner airlines, bringing alignment around commercial strategies, maintaining clear communication across teams, and ensuring cross-functional actions are completedDrives and coordinates projects with other departments and presents analyses and recommendations to senior managementEnsures continuous training and provides development opportunities for the analyst poolContributes to and drives forward a thriving team culture exemplified by personal integrity and accountability, respect and inclusiveness, collaboration, adaptability, positivity, and care for othersMust be willing to travel for business when neededAll You'll Need for SuccessMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience:Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training5 years work experiencePreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience:Experience directly or indirectly leading teams with significant enterprise and/or top line revenue responsibilityDemonstrated ability to solve and lead others in solving complex analytical problemsMaster's degree in business-related disciplineSkills, Licenses & Certifications:Ability to manage a team and support critical business decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentAbility to build collaborative relationships with and consensus amongst multiple stakeholders with varying points of view at all levels of the organizationAbility to solve and to lead others in solving complex analytical problems Independent work ethic, inquisitive nature and history of challenging the status-quoAbility to thrive in an unstructured role, work through ambiguous problems and be resilient in the face of criticism and constructive feedbackDemonstrated ability to take a project from conceptualization through implementationAbility to develop and adhere to timelines, manage projects with minimal supervision, and work well in team environmentAbility to take action through intelligent risk taking, innovation and entrepreneurshipKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeWhat You'll GetFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
