This position is with a Cyber Insurer who are expanding their US footprint and looking to make their first Senior Underwriting hire to lead out growth in the Mid-West.
Responsibilities
- Development and execution of underwriting plans for the Mid-West markets.
- Develop relationships and educate brokers to maximize opportunities and achieve profitable growth. Primarily wholesale brokers.
- Achieve new business premium, renewal premium retention and rate change objectives.
- Within company guidelines and granted underwriting authority, evaluate new and renewal account information to determine risk acceptability, terms / conditions to be quoted, and pricing.
- Make sound risk and pricing decisions that achieve profitable loss ratios.
- Collaborate with technology and security teams to develop and execute client engagement strategies
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience as a cyber underwriter with a proven track record of growth
- A strong regional network of broker and underwriting relationships
- Knowledge of cyber insurance markets
This role will suit someone who is motivated by growing a portfolio in a greenfield environment and someone who is excited by the synergy of cyber insurance and cyber technology.
