Our client, a leader in government site management and space exploration projects, is seeking a Stress Engineer to join their team. As a Stress Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering department supporting the Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) project at Kennedy Space Center (KSC). The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams. 

Job Title: Stress Engineer 
Location: On-site at Kennedy Space Center, FL (Remote considered) 
Pay: Competitive with per diem available for non-local hires 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Perform pipe stress analysis using AutoPipe in compliance with ASME B31.3 

  • Ensure piping flexibility and equipment nozzle load qualification 

  • Collaborate with layout personnel, pipe support engineers, and vendors 

  • Coordinate across engineering disciplines for project integration 

  • Support Bechtel Construction during the transition from Engineering to Construction 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience 

  • Proficiency in AutoPipe for pipe stress analysis 

  • Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and other industry piping codes 

  • Dynamic analysis experience and PE registration preferred 

  • Due to government contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is necessary for this role.
