Pay rate: $70/hr on W2

Location: Overland Park, KS or Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Start Date: 09/03/2024

Est. End Date: 02/28/2025

If travel is required, what percentage? An occasional site visit of 1-3 days to evaluate a situation or client meeting. 1-2 times per year.


Duties:

The fire protection engineer is responsible for reviewing and evaluating the facility and equipment to determine the appropriate fire protection requirements. Projects supported by the group are primarily Power Plants, Oil and Gas processing facilities, Water Treatment Plants and Data Center facilities.


Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years experience performing fire protection engineering-related duties.
  • The candidate must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and actively pursued or already have a Professional Engineer registration in Fire Protection or Mechanical engineering.
  • Candidate must be experienced or familiar with Power Plants, Oil and Gas processing facilities, Water treatment facilities, or Data Centers.


Education:

  • Requires a bachelor's or master’s degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical or Electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program in the USA.
  • The candidate must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and be in active pursuit of or already have a Professional Engineer registration in Fire Protection or Mechanical engineering.


Certifications & Licenses: Professional Engineer (PE) License


Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree
