JMC Aviation have an exciting opportunity for a Interior Craftsperson/Wood Finisher to work with a global leader in the business aviation industry.


This position is based in Hartford, CT and comes with a competitive hourly rate & benefits. Duties within the role are as follows -


- Fabricate, install and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings, with a focus on wood finishing, per work order or customer request

- Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required

- Assist with additional work on drop-ins and planned maintenance within the facility during slow periods of unplanned work as needed

- Travel on international assignments if required

- Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed

- Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed


The ideal candidate would have the following -


- 3-5 years of interiors experience on corporate aircraft

- Demonstrate the ability to break down cabinets remove hardware, inlay etc.

- Experience with sanding and prepping raw veneer and hardwood for finish, including touching up defects in veneer

- Knowledge on spraying polyester base coats and urethane top coats

- Demonstrate the ability to mask and unmask components for finish process

- Demonstrate the ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings

- Right to work in the United States.
