Vp, PlacementAlera Group is looking for a VP, Placement. With a network of offices nationwide, our commitment to collaboration allows us to offer national resources combined with local service.ResponsibilitiesNegotiate carrier terms, pricing, and conditions to secure optimal client outcomesDesign innovative program structures, coverages, and enhancements tailored to client needsBuild and maintain strategic relationships with carriers, serving as primary liaison for program development and performanceMonitor carrier appetite, capacity, and financial stability to guide placement strategiesPartner with producers and account teams on new business marketing, submissions, proposals, and coverage summariesProvide market insights, benchmarking, and recommendations during client strategy sessionsDevelop marketing and risk management materials while ensuring compliance with policies, carrier standards, and regulationsRepresent the agency at industry associations and perform additional projects as assignedQualificationsBachelors degree (Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field)7+ years of insurance brokerage, underwriting, or placement experience, with deep carrier knowledgeProven track record of successful carrier negotiations and complex program placementsStrong leadership, communication, and relationship management skillsStrategic thinker with ability to balance client advocacy and market realitiesAdditional InformationThis job requires presence in the office on a hybrid schedule as agreed with the manager.Alera Group offers comprehensive benefits to our colleagues, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, generous paid time off and much more.Salary range is $175K to 215K per year, based on experience.We're an equal opportunity employer.
