As the General Manager for Seed Kitchen & Bar / Stem Wine Bar, you will be responsible for ensuring an overall exceptional experience for our guests as well as managing the daily operations of our restaurant, including the selection, development, and performance management of the staff. You will ensure our staff adheres to our high customer standards and service levels with a focus on increasing sales and minimizing costs.


To be successful in this role you will be a culture builder and lead by example to uplift our team to ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and guests have a pleasant experience. You will actively greet our guests and strive to build lasting relationships to keep our regulars coming in and create new ones with your presence.


Specific qualifications include:


  • Prior General Manager experience in a fine dining/upscale casual dining setting
  • Demonstrable experience being accountable for sales growth and the profitability of the restaurant with the ability to identify and adjust budgets and control spending to ensure the restaurant achieves its profitability goals
  • Strong experience executing and coordinating daily operation of FOH staff
  • Experience coordinating with BOH management team to ensure smooth, efficient overall operation of the entire restaurant
  • Experience training and mentoring of staff to ensure they are knowledgeable in and compliance with all restaurant policies, rules, & regulations (as laid out in the team handbook/orientation) including health inspection standards, liquor laws, fire marshal codes, etc.
  • Experience utilizing restaurant systems to accurately to control cash, labor, COGS, payroll, and operating expenses
  • Ability to recruit, rigorously interview, and on-board team members that fit our Core Values
  • Ability to effectively communicate daily and in the manager’s log book
  • Experience reviewing and responding to customer feedback on OpenTable, Facebook, Google, TripAdvisor, and Yelp
  • Experience managing social media content to ensure a positive brand image is communicated
  • Ability and willingness to promote our Brand through word-of-mouth, restaurant events, and social events
  • Experience managing wine, craft cocktail, and beer programs helpful
