Purpose

To work in collaboration with the Associate Director to support The University of Texas at Austin‘s peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns and crowdfunding program.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing the year-round, campus-wide crowdfunding program and platform (HornRaiser):

    • Assist in the coordination and guidance of roughly 150 groups per year through successful crowdfunding projects

    • Act as a main contact for participating groups and inquiries about crowdfunding

    • Oversee project intake, interviews, group training, and content review to ensure best practices are being met and projects have the best chance of success

    • Organize meetings, workshops, and information sessions as required

    • Help identify opportunities to improved and streamline the crowdfunding process

    • Help identify opportunities to enhance awareness of the crowdfunding opportunity for groups across campus

  • Assist in managing and executing the University‘s peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns including, but not limited to, 40 Hours for the Forty Acres (giving day) and GivingTuesday:

    • Assist in the coordination and guidance of roughly 200 groups in Annual Giving Programs executed peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns

    • Act as a main contact for participating groups and coordinate the collection of resources necessary for their successful fundraising

    • Assist in generating and updating campaign support resources including, but not limited to, informational toolkits, internal messaging and communication content.

    • Work with Associate Director and Annual Giving Programs teammates to identify opportunities to enhance campaign performance and streamline project delivery

  • Help drive successful volunteer/ambassador fundraising by creating training materials, hosting training sessions, and helping create strategies to increase participation.

  • Regularly update and input tasks in project management software

  • Provide regular, clear communication and updates on campaign progress and overall program status to the wider Annual Giving Programs team

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor‘s degree and one year of experience assisting with fundraising programs or performing complex administrative functions.

  • Highly effective and demonstrated communication, (written, verbal, interpersonal), organization, and project management skills.

  • Capable of working independently and under pressure, while also engaging in collaboration between teams.

  • Excellence in problem-analyzing, problem-solving, and customer service. Detail-oriented with the ability to switch projects or priorities as needed.

  • Ability to use discretion and maintain integrity and professionalism.

  • High degree of proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience executing fundraising campaigns - ideally crowdfunding and/or peer-to-peer campaigns.

  • Experience with CRM/database marketing - Salesforce and/or Affinaquest experience is a plus.

  • Experience managing online peer-to-peer giving platforms - GiveCampus experience is a plus.

  • Experience with volunteer management.

Salary Range

$52,000 + depending on qualifications
