A permanent position for an onsite Human Resources Manager to take ownership of the plant. Our client is a highly regarded established food manufacturer in the US. This role offers huge opportunity to take full responsibility of this location, managing a small HR team.


The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead culture change
  • Developing and partnering with the Unions to ensure successful collaboration with all employees
  • Partner with leaders at all levels in the organization to attract and develop talent to drive business results
  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives to support the overall business objectives
  • Attract, retain, and develop a talented workforce while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures
  • Employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being
  • Manage the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes
  • Lead the Performance Management process to identify and account for varying levels of performance and lead the Talent Management process to build bench strength for succession planning. AND so much more....


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as HR Generalist preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Union experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and performance management


This role is based on Site 5 days per week. With a team of 3 direct reports.
