Role: Cloud Engineer (Identity Resolution Project)
Location: Remote

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer to join our Identity Resolution Project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering AWS infrastructure and data processing tools with handson experience in Python Spark AWS Glue OpenSearch DynamoDB and Neptune Graph Database. This role requires expertise in developing and securing REST APIs as well as a solid understanding of AWS infrastructure and IAM policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Engineering and Development:

    • 3 years of experience in engineering and developing solutions using Python Spark preferably with AWS Glue.
    • Expertise in OpenSearch/ElasticSearch including query writing and index management.
    • Proficient in DynamoDB and Neptune Graph Database programming (Cypher Gremlin preferred).

  • API Development and Security:

    • Handson experience with REST API development using API Gateway and AWS Lambda.
    • Strong understanding of REST API security authentication and authorization.

  • AWS Infrastructure Development:

    • Ability to develop AWS infrastructure including creating IAM roles and policies.
    • Familiarity with integrating AWS applications with VPCs subnets load balancers and DNS servers.
    • Understanding IAM roles policy permissions and best practices for secure access control.

  • Basic Developer Skills:

    • Proficient in Git bash scripting and version control practices.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for development and deployment.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as pytest.

  • Ability to work independently and remotely managing multiple tasks and deadlines.


CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Professional experience as a data analyst, developer, or data scientist. Professional experience creating statistical or machine models to execute forecasting based on disparate and unfamiliar datasets. Coding and release experience using bash, Python, and/or other common languages. Building dashboard and reporting suites keeps stakeholders and consumers in mind through the design and iteration phases.
