Job Requirements:

 Site Industrial Safety manager - responsible for monitoring the construction site, ensuring government regulations, Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), and Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) laws are followed.

 Create/Conduct safety training programs for employees, vendors, personnel working on site.

 Post Completed training along with training needed and expirations of training.

 Maintain physical and electronic files or other organizational systems.

 Monitor construction sites and enforce compliance regarding site specific, government regulations, acts and standards.

 Keep records of safety meetings, safety concerns, JSA or any Incidents/Accident records.

 Review blueprints, ventilations systems, site lighting, and analyze materials to be used on site to

design proper signage, disposal methods, and to map out emergency evacuation plans, including

locations for fire extinguishers and first-aid kits.

 Conduct Daily Safety Inspection using Apps provided for site safety inspections.

 Work with OSHA and MSHA representatives as necessary during site visits and reviews.

 Facilitate the process of distributing and collecting safety PPE and supplies for the site personnel.

 Compile reports on various aspects of safety for sites assigned.

 Consult building codes, government regulations, and other emergency response agencies. To ensure the workplace is compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

 Work with vendors, contractors, and sub-contractors to ensure safe practices throughout site.

 Work within client and company policies and procedures.

 Perform other duties as assigned by the Corporate Safety Manager as needed.

 Projects across the country. Must be able to travel onsite as needed.


Additional Responsibilities:

 Self-starter and can work in unsupervised settings.

 Skilled in the safe use of various hand and power tools

 Must have the ability to respond and adjust to changing or new situations. Work well in high stress environments and maintain professionalism in dealing with customers and co-workers.

 Complete timely reports and training with no procrastination.

 Able to tolerate working outside in severe weather conditions as well as exposure to high

temperature, noise, and dust.


Education/Experience:

 High School diploma

 Minimum of OSHA 30-hour certificate, OSHA 500, OSHA 510

 Bachelor’s degree in occupational health or similar field is preferred.

 Word processing, writing, and communications. Knowledge of software applications, such as desktop publishing, spreadsheets, database management (i.e., Microsoft Office).

 Three (3) years of field experience working or working with an experienced manager.

 Customer service and interpersonal skills, with a high degree of communications skills.

 Discretion, good judgment, organizational & management ability.

 Initiative, ability to work independently, adaptable, and versatile.


Physical Requirements:

 Lifting or manipulating heavy objects.

 Frequently walking around the job site.

 Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.

 Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate object Tool.

Personal Protective Equipment Requirements:

 Hard Hat – Hi-Visibility clothing, reflective during hours of reduced visibility, Safety Vest - Safety

Glasses - Steel Toed or composite toed work boots always worn on site.


Work Environment:

 Work is conducted in an office environment but exposure to site and weather conditions also

occurs. Field construction work is performed outside so exposure to all types of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, is common. Although the work usually is not considered inherently dangerous, must be careful while performing onsite services.
