Hands-on training and supervision from experienced clinicians Opportunities to directly impact the lives of children, adolescents, and families Exposure to trauma-informed, community-based behavioral health care Gain valuable experience completing intakes, assessments, and treatment plans Learn to develop and implement SMART goals with families Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary providers Experience with crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and intensive in-home services Potential for employment opportunities post-placement About In-Home Therapy The In-Home Therapy program is a strength-based, family-centered service designed to help youth ages 3-21 with behavioral health needs achieve stability and success at home and in the community. Services include family therapy, crisis management, and psychoeducation delivered in the family's natural environment. What You'll Do as an Intern Conduct initial intakes and assessments under supervision Provide therapeutic interventions to youth and families in home, school, and community settings Participate in treatment planning and goal development using wraparound principles Deliver psychoeducation and support to caregivers and youth Collaborate with team members and community providers to ensure coordinated care Document services in accordance with program standards Participate in supervision, team meetings, and professional development Who You Are Actively working toward a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and evidence-based treatment techniques Experience working with children, adolescents, or families (preferred) Strong interest in community-based behavioral health and family support Collaborative, goal-directed, and eager to learn Familiarity with Microsoft Office, email, and clinical documentation systems We Hire for Purpose Since 1938, BHN has been dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable, and culturally responsive behavioral health services across Western Massachusetts.
