To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

  • Coordinate and follow-through on sample submissions involving initial samples, engineering changes, prototypes, and pilots.
  • Prepare all sample submission documentation and submit to the appropriate customer.
  • Review all supplier PPAP information and is responsible for acceptance or rejection.
  • Prepare and updates inspection instructions, first piece set-up reports, incoming inspection reports, fixture certification, control plans and other necessary documentation.
  • Develop and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Devise sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Address and follows through on in-house and customer issues.
  • Knowledge of standard quality practices (APQP, FMEA, Controls Plans, etc.).
  • Assure that all corrective actions are submitted on a timely basis to the customer and that all preventive actions are verified to prevent recurrence of the issue.
  • This role is a part of a 5-member Plant Quality Team reporting to the Plant Quality Manager.


SUCCESS FACTORS:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-4yrs of automotive Quality Engineer manufacturing experience required.
  • Knowledge of standard quality practices (APQP, FMEA, Controls Plans, etc.) required.
  • Advance proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other ERP/Quality Systems (e.g., QAD).
  • Willingness for 10% domestic travel to OEM customers and suppliers.
