Job Description

Ease Capital is looking to bring aboard a loan Originator with 4-7 years of experience sourcing and closing deals. Candidates must have a proven track record as well as both broker and direct owner relationships. You will join a small but nimble team exclusively focused on sourcing, screening, underwriting and closing  multifamily loans. We’re looking for someone that is driven, ambitious, energetic, and wants to be part of building a business. Not only will you be tip-of-the-spear in a client facing role, but you will also work alongside the firm’s senior leadership.


Responsibilities

Source and close floating and fixed-rate loans secured by income producing multifamily and mixed-use assets. Typical deals will range in size from $5 - 50M + and be in primary or secondary markets nationally.  Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Externally:
  • Cultivate and foster new and existing sponsor and broker relationships
  • Provide excellent customer service to both sponsors and mortgage bankers
  • Generate and negotiate term sheets and core loan documents
  • Work with borrowers, brokers & Ease’s outside partners to facilitate a seamless diligence & loan closing process including legal & all relevant third party reports
  • Internally:
  • Work with Ease Capital’s Head of Origination, Head of Credit, and the team to screen opportunities and structure deals that fit the needs of the borrower
  • Present debt opportunities in a thoughtful manner to the credit committee and external capital partners for consideration
  • Support all due diligence, underwriting and loan closing motions in partnership with the underwriting/closing team


Skills & Experience

  • 4-7  years of commercial real estate loan origination experience
  • Small balance and lower mid-market multifamily lending experience a plus, including:  bridge, agency, FHA, and/or bank financing
  • Demonstrated track record (deal resume required) closing loans with both mortgage brokers and borrowers directly 
  • Real estate underwriting & credit experience for both stabilized and transitional multifamily & mixed-use properties 
  • Collaborative work style and strong interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work independently in a fast based environment 
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
