This role involves close collaboration with IT to optimize the use of PeopleSoft financials, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical capabilities. While this position does not involve coding or leading implementation projects, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between business and technical teams and enhancing process efficiency. This is a 1 year long contract opportunity and can be done 100% remotely.

Senior PeopleSoft Financial Systems Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical lead for PeopleSoft financial systems within the finance team, providing expert guidance on system capabilities and best practices
  • Collaborate with IT to leverage PeopleSoft functionality to meet business needs, identifying and recommending improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency
  • Act as a liaison between finance and technical teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa
  • Analyze and document existing processes, recommending and implementing improvements to streamline operations and ensure optimal use of PeopleSoft financials
  • Support the finance team in understanding and utilizing PeopleSoft features, offering training and guidance as needed
  • Review and validate system configurations and data to ensure alignment with financial processes and reporting requirements
  • Stay current with industry trends and updates related to PeopleSoft financial systems, applying this knowledge to drive system enhancements


Senior PeopleSoft Financial Systems Analyst Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong technical background in PeopleSoft financial systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead from a technical perspective within a finance team
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of PeopleSoft financials, including its modules, processes and capabilities
  • Highly process-oriented with a keen eye for detail and a focus on continuous improvement
  • Prior experience with PeopleSoft upgrades or implementations is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related field preferred
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA a plus
