SUMMARY: As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will support the Director of Engineering and Sales teams in Technical Program Management. The Sr. TPM must have a good understanding of the semiconductor supply chain, and hands-on experience of semiconductor packaging and its’ applications. Must be well versed in technical skills in all phases of IC packaging process and equipment. The Sr. Technical Program Manager will coordinate with customers’ engineering groups to select &/or develop packaging technology to support their device/product requirements. Working with ASE sales teams to promote, generate/grow revenue and business for ASE. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. A good team player is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Sr. TPM will be responsible for coordinating and managing all technical related activities to help create optimal revenue with current and new customers by working alongside closely with ASE internal Sales teams. Other duties/responsibilities may be assigned as need arises in this dynamic field.

Must have a strong understanding of Semiconductor IC assembly and test manufacturing process, as well as a thorough technical knowledge of packaging and process requirements for offshore assembly facilities. Must be able to manage key technical programs as well as providing technical package design support to customers. Responsible for working with cross functional teams to establish plans and key milestones to deliver program objectives. Strong verbal and written skills are essential along with interpersonal communications skills. Must be a team player with good organizational, computer and project management skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: ASE requires BS or Masters’ Degree in Engineering/Science Degree and minimum 12 years of semiconductor packaging development &/or manufacturing experience in assembly, test, with in depth understanding of the IC assembly and test process. Experience and knowledge in high end performance packaging technologies such as 2.5D, Fanout, and Silicon Photonics is a definite great plus. Experienced in working with customers and stake holders to resolve technical issues; and making sound business decisions to support the success of the program.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisory responsibilities are required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be detail orientated in all technical aspects with high quality work. A good team player is essential. Mandarin language is desired.

COMPUTER/SOFTWARE SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have basic math skills.

COMPENSATION: Base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 to $180,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and various factors, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
