As the disability and access specialist, you will collaborate with various departments, assess student documentation, and determine appropriate academic adjustments/accommodations with adherence to Section 504 and ADA guidelines. In this role you will attend weekly conferences, provide student referrals, and monitor the database while maintaining a caseload of students with disabilities. You will actively participate in campus-wide initiatives to improve access for individuals with mobility impairments, engage in outreach, and work on psychoeducational program development.


The disability and access specialist position requires an individual who can document student interactions promptly and accurately in Titanium, maintain a current schedule, and prepare necessary reports for their supervisor's signature and approval. In addition, the specialist will inform the supervisor of staff development needs and performance improvement initiatives.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in rehabilitation, counseling, special education, or related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive campus environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience in higher education environment


Travel Required:

  • Less than 10%


Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
