Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solar (Snr) Project Development Manager to lead the development of utility-scale solar projects, with a primary focus on the ERCOT market. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end project development, overseeing associate developers, and driving successful project outcomes from site identification through permitting and pre-construction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the development of utility-scale solar projects in the ERCOT region.
  • Oversee associate developers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure projects meet key milestones and are developed in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Manage relationships with landowners, utility companies, regulatory agencies, and local stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering, legal, and finance teams to ensure projects are properly scoped, financed, and permitted.
  • Oversee interconnection processes, land acquisition, environmental assessments, and permitting.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of ERCOT market rules, regulations, and energy policy.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure project viability and profitability.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and external stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar project development, with a focus on utility-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of the ERCOT market, including interconnection processes and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and a team of associate developers.
  • Experience in land acquisition, permitting, environmental compliance, and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental studies, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
