The 418th Flight Test Squadron at Edwards Air Force Base, California is currently seeking a Flight Test Engineer
This is a flying position

JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Leads flight-test execution as onboard flying Test Conductor while monitoring safety of flight and data parameters real-time

• Maintains test discipline during test execution, employing crew resource management and operational risk management techniques

• Leads pre and post-flight mission briefings

• Documents test results post-flight

• Identifies resources required for flight test missions, and coordinates with other teams such as discipline engineering, maintenance, management, and aircrew to ensure effective test execution

• Participates in all stages of test planning, including design reviews, test plan working groups, test plan technical and safety reviews, test card development, test execution, and post-test reporting as required

• Altitude Chamber
• Aircraft specific training HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's of Science in Aerospace Engineering
• FAA Private Pilot License
• Practical aviation experience
• Current Secret level security clearance REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE A Bachelor of Science in engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and 8 years of related engineering experience, or an accredited Master of Science in engineering and a minimum of 6 years of related engineering experience, or an accredited doctorate degree in engineering and a minimum 4 years of related engineering experience are required for this position
The incumbent must possess a well-established, substantial, professional reputation in one or more of the principal technical disciplines of the Company
The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to direct senior technical personnel in project assignments involving research, development, integration, and sustainment of complex systems or processes
The incumbent must use superior communications skills, both verbal and written, in day-to-day project activities as well as in briefing customers and in writing reports and proposals
The incumbent must have a working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools
The incumbent must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance
Must be a U.S
citizen
SALARY The expected salary range for this position is $114,846 to $145,000 annually
Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay
JT4, LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards
There is occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting with occasional use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness
Routine travel to remote Company work locations may be required
