POSITION: Quality Inspector

Location: Pontiac, MI


Job Summary: Inspect products and processes in the assembly area to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, company standards, and customer requirements. Reports quality data for use in reporting and corrective action. Works to identify and eliminate defects. Responsible for ensuring that only acceptable products are shipped to customers by using inspection skills and knowledge.


Product Inspection

• Willingness to be a safety, quality, and delivery role model for other Mahindra USA employees.

• Ability to follow the PDI inspection process for assigned stations.

• Visual acuity to distinguish between colors and textures and to recognize defects of varying size. • Familiarity with mobile software, tablet navigation, and data entry

• Effective defect description

• Good working knowledge of the functionality of tractors and implements.

• Willingness to collaborate with production personnel in determining the root cause and appropriate corrective action.

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to communicate across adjacent levels of employees.

• Affinity for excellent internal and external customer service

• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in the following elements is required:


• High School Diploma or GED

• 2 years of mechanical assembly experience

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
