Description:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in business process improvements and product compliance investigations. This position will support the steady state program of product compliance and work as a consultant with stakeholders, ensuring that our processes are efficient, product compliant, and continuously improving. Therefore, the Central Office Engineering is seeking an experienced and agile driven Business Analyst with a robust background in business process improvements to join our dynamic team on a contractor basis. This role is pivotal in enhancing and streamlining our product compliance processes, ensuring robust project management practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position will interact with all affected departments within NAR to make this possible and supports the manager of the Central Office of Engineering.


Responsibilities:

List essential functions in order of importance; include percentage of time spent performing each function (total should equal 100%)

Main responsibility – General Project Management - planning, organizing, and coordination as well as operational support. – (70%)

• Product Compliance Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into product compliance issues, ensuring all products meet regulatory standards.

• Stakeholder Consultation: Act as a consultant to internal stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations on compliance and process improvements.

• Process Automation: Develop and implement automated solutions to streamline compliance processes and reduce manual workload. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and digitize workflows to enhance productivity and accuracy.

• Proactive Problem Solving: Identify potential issues and proactively develop solutions to prevent compliance breaches.

• Customer Service Orientation: Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively.

• Agile Environment: Work collaboratively within an agile framework, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Questioning Status Quo: Continuously challenge existing processes and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and compliance.

• Project Management: Utilize Jira for daily project management tasks and collaboration.

• Audit and Root Cause Analysis: Prepare and organize audits as part of the scheduled annual audit plan for the Central Office of Engineering. Conduct audits and utilize root cause analysis to identify and resolve compliance issues.

• Process and Lean Improvement: Utilize lean process and process improvement skills to drive continuous enhancement initiatives. Engage with IT departments and external vendors to implement and support process improvements. Identify, analyze, and implement improvements in business processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.


Experience:

Years of Relevant Experience: Minimum years of relevant experience needed to perform the job

3-5 years of relevant experience (desired consulting company experience and/or methodology)


Skills:

• Experience: Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Business Analyst, preferably within product compliance or a similar field.

• Agile Environment: Experience working in an agile environment is essential.

• Process Improvement: Strong background in business process improvement and automation.

• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

• Technical Skills: Proficient in using Jira for project management, MS365, and Power Automate. Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.

• Audit and Analysis: Experience in conducting audits and performing root cause analysis is required.

• Project management skills - responsible for completion of timelines and content fulfillment incl. ability to track, monitor and coordinate anticipated and on-going matters within the different stakeholders of the organization


Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent.
