Water Works Engineers is looking for a full-time Civil/Environmental Engineer with experience in design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Water Works Engineers was formed in 2005 by engineers who believed water and wastewater engineering and consulting could be done a better way, by combining the best attributes of large and small engineering and consulting firms: the technical expertise and resources of large firms and personal attention to client specific needs of small firms.

 

As a Project Engineer, you will work with a project manager as part of a project team and will be responsible for planning, design development, calculations, cost estimates, presentations/reports, and overall project delivery for a variety of water/wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects. This includes, but is not limited to, developing hydraulic, chemical, and biological calculations, engineering reports, plans and specifications, cost estimates, project schedules, construction documents, and providing construction services under the supervision of a project manager. This is a key position and requires diligence, a thorough understanding of water/wastewater design principles, and the ability to effectively work within a team.

 

Enthusiasm for working on a variety of projects from the conceptual phase through the completion of project will be essential to your professional growth with Water Works Engineers. Your proficiency with CADD software, hydraulic modeling packages, ArcGIS, Word, and Excel paired with excellent oral and written communication skills will be keys to your success in completing projects and achieving your goals as a professional engineer.

 

Basic Qualifications:

·        B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited program with minimum 4 years of related experience, or a combination of comparable experience and education. M.S. degree is a plus.

·        P.E. license is required

·        Self-motivated individual who is willing to work effectively as part of a team or independent, as required by specific project needs.

·        Ability and willingness to perform both office and field work as needed.

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills.

·        Knowledge and understanding of planning, design, and construction industry standards, codes, contracts, drawings, costs, specifications, and safety requirements, with respect to water/wastewater treatment and infostructure projects.

·        Proficient in CADD software, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and MS Project), and Bluebeam.

·        Experienced with ArcGIS, Hydraulic modeling packages like Sewer/WaterCAD, Sewer/WaterGEMS, InfoWorks ICM.
