Summary: The Supply Chain Engineer should possess a solid technical background and experience in managing complex integration programs with clearly defined deliverables, where subcontractors handle specific scopes of work. In this role, you will oversee suppliers to ensure they meet technical, cost, and schedule performance objectives as outlined in the contractual Statement of Work (SOW) and Bill of Materials (BOM). You will collaborate closely with engineering, program management, subcontracts, and logistics teams to support the delivery of large, intricate assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of large-scale distributed hardware and software systems and experience in overseeing subcontractor performance on firm fixed-price contracts.

Responsbilities:

Lead a team of Labor Management Coordinators effectively, and support the creation and validation of engineered labor standards (ELS). Assist with performance reporting systems to track productivity at the individual, department, facility, and supply chain levels.
  • Facilitate onboarding for coordinators, managers, and performance coaches, and conduct training sessions for both managers and hourly associates. Review and develop Standard Operating Procedures and training materials for associates and front-line management. Create and maintain distribution center process flow diagrams for local operations.
  • Analyze and gather data to assess processes for inefficiencies and develop plans to optimize them. Support facility layout reviews to identify opportunities for improved effectiveness, utilization, and performance. Collaborate with operations leaders to establish operational work standards, resolve issues, and provide guidance to operations leadership teams.
  • Support the technical and cultural integration of labor management systems and assist in evaluating and designing distribution center processes, layouts, material handling systems, and related analyses. This includes estimating returns on invested capital and developing business cases for approval.
