Job Posting: 1st Shift GroundskeeperBarre City Elementary and Middle School is seeking a 1st Shift Groundskeeper to maintain the school grounds throughout the year. The groundskeeper maintains sports field and equipment, performs maintenance to grounds equipment, and performs maintenance related work within the school facility. Primary responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):Mowing of grass, grass and shrub trimming, pruning, and raking of grass and leavesPicking up of outdoor trash dailySweeping or shoveling of entranceways and sidewalks as neededMaintaining sports field mowing, seeding, fertilizingPerform maintenance of grounds care equipmentAssist with/accomplishes renovation projectsOperate school vehicles when neededComplete general cleaning and painting projects as requiredWhen outside work is done or not possible due to weather extremes, or when required by building workload, this position will accomplish utility and/or custodial related work. The rate of pay for this position is $20.99 per hour. Benefits include health and dental insurance, retirement, paid sick, vacation and personal leave. Valid drivers license with good driving record is required. Previous experience with groundskeeping or related work helpful.
