Position: Digital Systems Manager

Salary: 110k + 10% bonus

Interview Process: 30 minute Teams IV with Director, 2 hour panel interview w/ Team (may split into two schedule permitting)

The Digital Systems Manager will ensure streamlined progress of Enterprise Application Installations and Software Development activities for the MIS department in alignment with the Digital Transformation strategy of the organization. This position will work on planning, executing, and monitoring of all project activities from a systems perspective. The Digital Systems Manager will work in a supportive fashion with the MIS and PMO team members to help guide project activities related to application architecture. Work closely with technology vendors to enhance application support and relationships to maximize new feature benefits and upgrade opportunities.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support activities related to deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade of all Enterprise Applications and integrated systems.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and consolidation of Enterprise Application footprint.
  • Utilize application support portals and ticketing systems provided by technology vendors to effectively manage issue resolution.
  • Work closely with the MIS Director to plan for regular communication updates related to project activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to Software Project Core Teams as applicable.
  • Support solution design phase of Digital Transformation projects from an application architecture perspective.
  • Special projects or work as assigned


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required: Bachelors in computer science or information Systems or equivalent discipline and a minimum of 1 to 3 years of related experience.

Preferred: Exposure to Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms and to AI solutions, PMP Certification, ITIL Certification, CSM – Certified Scrum Master or Agile Practitioner

Required Skills/Competencies

  • Ability to take a deep dive into application setups and configurations to gain a proper understanding of Enterprise Applications.
  • Knowledge of administrative and architectural experience in the following technologies: ERP Systems, databases, and web applications.
  • Experience and thorough understanding of general application security and UI access restrictions.
  • Experience in Project Management, team collaboration and application architecture methodologies.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all data.


Additional Notes:

  • Reports to Director PMO
  • Newly created position
  • Business need – free up the Director to be more strategic by taking some responsibilities off his plate
  • Will not people manage initially, but would like to groom into a people manager as well as Director’s right hand person
  • Potentially would lead ERP, BA, Dev, Systems Analyst in future
  • Around 5 years of exp.
  • Industry exp is not super crucial, relevant industry exp would be manufacturing/distribution-warehousing-logistics of some sort
  • Hands-on technical to begin career
  • Exp with SF, Atlassian Suite, Concur, Epicor would allow for shorter learning curve
  • Implementation exp.
  • Understanding of software architecture – understanding how different systems/technologies connect big picture
  • Hands-on technical background
  • Project-driven environment
  • Familiarity with new tech/trends (for. Ex. Cloud / AI)
  • Technical background in ERP, database, web applications
  • Projects: digital transformation – automating processes, implementing new tew tools, shifting culture and use of tech to be more involved
