Assistant Superintendent

We are currently working with a leading General Contractor to assist them in their search for an Assistant Superintendent. This role will see the selected candidate run the successful execution of multifamily construction projects, assisting the Superintendent in managing daily on-site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Project Coordination: Assist the Superintendent in coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and labor to ensure efficient project execution.


  • Site Management: Oversee daily site activities, including scheduling, quality control, and safety compliance, ensuring adherence to company policies and OSHA regulations.


  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders, and assist with project documentation and reporting.


  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets project specifications and industry standards, addressing any issues promptly.


  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and subcontractors, to address concerns and updates.


  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues that arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.


  • Safety Management: Promote a culture of safety on-site by enforcing safety protocols and conducting safety meetings with team members.


  • Assistance in Budget Management: Support the Superintendent in monitoring project budgets and timelines, assisting in cost control and resource allocation.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


  • 2-5 years of experience in construction, preferably in multifamily projects.


  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and project management.


  • Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.


  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.


  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
