Business Development LeadAn effective Business Development Lead at Fluid Quip Technologies drives organizational growth by enhancing strategic sales initiatives, building strong client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. This role is pivotal in the overall growth of the company, including increasing revenue, elevating brand recognition within existing and new industries, and contributing to the company's overall long-term success. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-oriented professional with exceptional analytical skills, the ability to influence stakeholders, ability to connect dots and a passion for innovation. Key objectives include developing and implementing business strategies that prioritize new market expansion, client satisfaction, and profitability.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Collaborate with company executives and sales and marketing team to review current market trends and propose new innovative business ideas and concepts to drive revenue growth and improve profit marginsIdentify adjacent high-growth industries and evaluate opportunities to leverage FQT strengths to grow into these industriesConduct in-depth industry and organizational research to identify sales opportunities and establish partnerships that align with business goalsEvaluate existing and new government programs to identify impacts and identify new business opportunities in FQT industriesDevelop and present strategic recommendations that align with business objectives and industry trends for both current and prospective clientsRepresent the company at conferences, client meetings and other industry events, delivering presentations and fostering relationships to support growth initiativesUtilize CRM software (Salesforce) to manage client interactions, update critical market information and prepare marketing/sales reports for leadershipProvide guidance, feedback, and professional development to future team members, fostering their growth and ensuring alignment with business goals. Establish clear performance expectations for team members (initial position does not have direct reports) and deliver ongoing coaching to enhance their skills and contribute to the team's success.Perform requirement analysis to evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement effective solutionsPrepare various reports to communicate key operating data, market insights, risk metrics, exposures, financial information, and financial modeling, while providing results and recommendations to leadership teams.Gather critical information from meetings with stakeholders and produce actionable reports with recommended follow-up actionsNegotiate mutually beneficial agreements with key partners to support business objectivesWork to achieve and maintain strong relationships with partners to maximize collaboration and drive success across the organizationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are achieved within scope, on time, and on budgetWork both independently and within a team to ensure timely and successful delivery of project deliverablesPresent sound strategies to the FQT executive leadership teamsRegularly reassess and refine strategies based on market intelligence and performance outcomesQualifications:BA or BS in Engineering, Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related fields preferred10+ years of experience in business development, sales strategy, or related roles, with a proven track record of driving organizational growth. Experience in managing cross-functional teams and leading strategic initiatives is preferred5+ years of experience in leadership roles, including process documentation and project managementExceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skillsAbility to influence multiple stakeholders, including executives, clients, and cross functional teams, and work closely for the best business solutionsExperience creating detailed financial and strategic reports and giving presentationsProven track record of successfully executing business development strategies and meeting revenue growth targetsExcellent planning, organizational, and time management skills with a focus on delivering results on time and on budgetExperience leading and developing top-performing teams fostering a culture of collaboration and innovationStrong computer literacy including proficiency in MS Office suite, project management tools and financial modeling toolsStrong passion for innovation, continuous learning, and finding creative solutions to both known and unknown business challengesResilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving business environmentHigh level of professionalism and ability to represent the company at industry events and conferencesAbility to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time, including attendance at industry conferences, client meetings, and other events to support the growth initiativesFluid Quip Technologies (Fluid Quip) provides custom technologies and engineering services to the biofuel and biochemical industries worldwide.
