We are looking for a motivated and experienced Wetland Scientist to join our team and help us achieve this vision.


As a Part-Time, Contract Wetland Scientist, you will play a critical role in supporting and expanding our wetland sciences practice. You will be responsible for conducting wetland delineations, assessments, and restorations, as well as providing expert guidance on wetland regulations and permitting processes. Key Responsibilities:

•Conduct wetland delineations and functional assessments in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

•Develop and implement wetland replacement, restoration and mitigation plans.

•Prepare technical reports, including wetland delineation reports, impact assessments, and monitoring reports.

•Assist clients with obtaining necessary permits and ensuring compliance with wetland regulations.

•Collaborate with other environmental scientists, engineers, and planners on multidisciplinary projects.

•Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and building relationships with clients.

•Stay current with wetland science advancements, regulatory changes, and best practices.


Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Soil Science or a related field.

•Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in wetland science, including delineation, assessment, and restoration.

•Proficiency in wetland delineation methods and familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., Clean Water Act and Wetland Conservation Act regulations).

•Strong technical writing skills and experience preparing detailed reports.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

•Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certification or willingness to obtain certification is a plus.
