Role Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong engineering background to join our team at C2 Group. As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality projects to our clients in the power utility industry. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing contract commitments, and communicating project dynamics through the effective use of project management tools and data visualizations. Your ability to connect project details with people will enable you to maintain alignment, forecast and identify issues, and communicate them to leadership and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Employ project management tools to communicate project dynamics, including schedules, customized dashboards, and data visualizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive issue resolution and minimized impact on project timelines.
  • Contribute to internal operations, proposal teams, and specialty projects focused on market assessments and industry trends.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance project management and consulting services.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and workshops to maintain professional development and expand professional networks.
  • Support strategic business consulting project initiations, providing expertise and insights to drive project success.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Oversee contract commitments, ensuring compliance and effective project scope, timeline, and budget management.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project teams, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring clear understanding and alignment.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for process improvement, implementing changes that enhance project efficiency and quality.
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers, engineers, and team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance team capabilities.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business strategies, goals, and objectives.
  • Participate in business development activities, supporting the growth and expansion of C2 Group's services and client base.


Desired Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in California
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in a project management role within a similar industry
  • Ability to identify and analyze complex problems, developing creative and adaptable solutions within a fast-paced changing environment
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills are needed for effective stakeholder engagement, communication, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Proactive, strategic mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Comfortable working with unfamiliar areas of expertise
  • Comfortable working in a collective, transparent, and highly communicative environment
  • Able to communicate to both a non-technical and technical audience
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of work
  • Deeply curious and enjoys learning about a wide range of topics
  • Comfortable working in collaborative software platforms such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and WhatsApp communities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
