ECT Dispatcher

Join the MVT Family Mesilla Valley Transportation is hiring Dispatchers for the Extended Coverage Team (ECT) in El Paso, TX

$16.00 (Depending on Shift)

An ECT Dispatcher is responsible for supporting drivers after hours, identifying issues, and using critical thinking skills to find solutions. They will work together with Operations teams to ensure on-time service is met per customers' expectations.

*** We are looking for individuals who are available to work a flexible workweek which would include some night and weekend coverage. ***

Nights:7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. 4 Nights on / 4 Nights off OR

Weekends: 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Days Vary)

Responsibilities:

• Manages drivers during extended coverage shifts by communicating with a high level of integrity both internally and externally. 
• Accurately enters data into company computer systems.
• Resolves problems utilizing available resources in a quick and efficient manner. When appropriate, escalates situations as needed.
• Works with team members to solve problems.
• Provides clear work instructions to drivers.
• Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of motor carrier operations and geography.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
