Job Description:
As Finance Manager, IT you will be responsible for the portfolio planning and operations of our global IT department. You will use your expertise in procurement, financial management of portfolios, and account and invoice management to ensure the financial stability and continued growth of the department. You will work closely with the IT team to provide financial guidance and support for IT-related projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage the financial operations of the IT department, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Work closely with the IT team to provide financial guidance and support for IT-related projects and initiatives.
- Manage the financial portfolio of IT projects, ensuring their alignment with the overall financial goals of the department.
- Maintain and communicate overall portfolio and project financials.
- Responsible for the setup and onboarding of projects in the financial and portfolio management systems.
- Oversee procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective purchasing of IT equipment and services.
- Oversee account and invoice management, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
- Participate in regular staff meetings with the IT team and communicate any financial issues that concern other members of the department.
- Facilitate a culture of clear, transparent communication.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial users.
- Ability to carry out duties with minimal direction and interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Thorough understanding and hands-on knowledge of financial management, procurement, and account and invoice management.
- Possess strong analytical skills and ability to solve practical problems while managing a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline, or relevant experience.
- Previous experience with an IT organization is highly desirable.
- At least one 5 years of supervisory experience overseeing a team.
