Overview

We are looking for a Network Engineer with exceptional skills and a passion for technology to provide comprehensive network support to our global offices. The candidate will possess a vast knowledge of Cisco Switches, PaloAlto Firewalls, Panorama, Azure Firewalls, and Conditional Access Policies. Key responsibilities include setting up Cisco switches from scratch according to Eastdil Secured standards, maintaining switch OS versions to the latest recommended versions, setting up and maintaining PaloAlto firewalls directly and through Panorama, troubleshooting network issues and swiftly remedying any issues that arise.

Under the guidance of the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the incumbent will perform several critical functions aimed at enhancing the organization's network security and cybersecurity posture.

Essential Functions

  • support to project managers on security/network deployments.

  • review and maintain infrastructure.
  • to emergency situations and performing effective troubleshooting during production outages
  • remotely or onsite as per business requirements

Education and Qualifications

  • degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • experience in network management.

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • and experience installing and supporting Palo Alto Firewalls (minimum three years)
  • of installing and maintaining Cisco Switches
  • Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer 7-8 (PCNSE7-8) certification


  • certified (or higher) preferred.
  • of protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, SPT, TRUNKS, VLANs, Port-Channel, Static routing
  • topologies and protocols. Examples being MPLS, VRF, SIP, Traffic Shaping / QoS
  • Alto Command line
  • command line
  • have a good networking background and understanding.
  • high level of Palo Alto expertise in design, configuration, migrations, tuning and
  • of features
  • knowledge of Panorama, Wildfire, Global Protect, and other Palo Alto features including and not limited to SSL decryption.
  • of supporting clients remotely and face to face, along with experience of working with SIP providers
  • with Wireshark or other protocol analysers.
  • communication skills – both written and verbal
  • be flexible to work outside of business hours as per business requirements.
  • to be able to remain calm under pressure and ensure a logical thought process is maintained.


Location: Hybrid in Charlotte

Duration: 6-Month contract, can be extended

Rate: $45-70/hour
