Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

  • Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of network solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network needs and recommend improvements.

Network Optimization and Performance:

  • Proactively monitor and manage network health, performance, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and incidents promptly.
  • Implement capacity planning and scaling strategies.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
  • Ensure network compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and change logs.
  • Generate reports on network performance, capacity, and security.

Team Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior network engineers and IT staff.
  • Mentor team members and facilitate knowledge sharing.

Project Management:

  • Manage and lead network-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and vendors.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

  • Evaluate and manage relationships with network equipment vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure vendor deliverables align with project requirements and performance expectations.


Requirements

  • 5 -7 years or more supporting enterprise networking environments
  • Strong experience with Cisco network equipment
  • Strong experience with layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing concepts
  • Strong experience with MPLS and WAN concepts and technology
  • Experience with Cisco DMVPN a plus
  • Experience with Cisco Firepower a plus
  • Experience with zero-trust security posture environments a plus


*** Pay: $75/hr (Compensation can vary depending on experience)
