Software Development Engineer in Test

Description
We are seeking skilled Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team. Develop automation for the Surface consumer ecosystem. Evaluate Windows device software with focus on user experience by executing (and modifying as needed) automated and interactive test cases. Apply sound technical judgement in an environment of evolving design specifications by assessing product behavior beyond what is formally documented. An ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing graphics tests to evaluate the performance of surface devices. Communicate and evaluate results via e-mail, bug reports, and status reports. Troubleshoot and isolate faults in the assigned technical area by designing, documenting, and executing ad hoc experiments, as well as running and/or creating diagnostic utilities and scripts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with tool developers, area experts, and other stakeholders to ensure the software product meets surface quality standards.
- Design and develop automated test scripts and tools to ensure the software product is thoroughly tested and meets surface quality standards.
- Analyze and report test results, identifying and prioritizing defects, and working with the team to resolve issues.
- Continuously improve the testing process, including test automation, test coverage, and test effectiveness.
- Collaborate with area experts to ensure automation tools meet surface quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ year experience in software development, software testing, or test automation.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as SQL, Python, or C#.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or JMeter.
- Familiarity with graphics APIs such as DirectX or OpenGL
- Experience with graphics software testing tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
