Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in shaping our financial future. This position is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats and has a deep understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, tax and reporting, and is excited to work in a dynamic and evolving environment. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and helping to establish financial processes that will support our growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Assist with the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Reporting and Insights: Prepare detailed financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Deliver regular financial updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Data Analysis: Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements. Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives.
- Performance Metrics: Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance and inform decision-making processes.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate existing financial processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement. Develop and implement new procedures to enhance financial operations and reporting accuracy.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with various departments, including marketing, sales, and operations, to provide financial insights and support business strategies.
- Compliance and Controls: Ensure financial practices and processes comply with legal regulations and company policies. Assist in audits and internal control assessments.
- Project Management: Lead or participate in special projects, including system implementations, business process reengineering, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or a relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- 3-5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within an eCommerce or consumer-driven environment.
- Proven experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Expert in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, ERP systems).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Experience in a high-growth or startup environment is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
