  • Supervise and mentor engineering staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Exercise independent judgment, initiative, and acquired skills in the execution of engineering tasks.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with the public, general contractors, engineering consultants, architects, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards in project execution.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in coastal engineering, shore protection, erosion control, and beach nourishment projects.
  • Extensive experience in planning, design, and construction of capital improvement projects.
  • Strong technical and professional engineering skills.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor engineering staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of initiative, independent judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
