In other words kids who will win at lifeKidStrong Southeast PA is rapidly growing and we're looking for talented, enthusiastic professionals who are passionate, energetic, and excited to engage with parents and kids and make an impact on their lives.The Role & Schedule:We are looking for coaches with an athletic or coaching background who ideally have experience coaching kids ages 15 months - 11 years oldKidStrong Director would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from evolving monthly curriculumIdeal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding "the why" behind the KidStrong curriculumSet schedules for the coaching staffAssess and evaluate center coaches' performances and executionOur classes run typically weekdays 9 am -11 am and evenings until 7 pm, and weekends are typically from 8 am through lunch/noon.Opportunity for a flexible work schedule depending on studio needs.Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching hours.Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not requiredDirector Responsibilities:Recruit, screen, interview, onboard, manage, train, and evaluate coaching candidates for your centerEnsure candidates complete all paperwork and compliance as required by lawLead training practicals for new coaching candidatesLead coaching candidates through the training process and required evaluationsEnsure coaching evaluations are up to date on a 30/60/90 modelDevelop coaches through informal feedback on a weekly basisCreate and ensure staffing needs for the center are met and the team is fully staffed while continually pipelining future talentProvide support and be available for the team through SlackMonthly deep cleaning of the center and all equipmentAttend weekly leadership meetings with Area Developers and/or General ManagersAttend the monthly HQ programming rollout to learn next month's programmingLead center-level programming rollout and train staff on next month's programmingPartner with the Sales Manager on the center's needs, KPIs, inventory, and growthAchieve Director Certification through the HQ Training and Certification teamCoach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years oldGreet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at beginning of classMaintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading classDemonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercisesTeach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming teamMust be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculumEnsure cleanliness of the center including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shiftEffectively use the KS Coach's App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centersComplete trainings through FranConnect as required by the HQ Training and Certification teamMust be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.Assisting parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a classAttend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next month's curriculumAttend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by DirectorLearn and manage Coach KidStrong Academy - special classes held by centers when local schools are not operating (for example Winter Break, Summer Break)Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next month's curriculumJob Qualifications:Passion for working with children is non-negotiablePrevious experience in management is preferred but not requiredPrior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age group is preferredPrior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculumIntermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanicsCPR certifiedPositive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skillsSelf-starter who just gets a job doneIf you enjoy the spotlight, this position was meant for youCompensation: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per yearKidStrong is a private child development training center focused on brain, physical & character development for ages walking through 11 years old.
