Marketing Intern


Do you love sports and dream of a career in Marketing? The City of Peoria offers an exciting Internship at the Peoria Sports Complex, perfect for students looking to gain real-world experience in Sports Marketing & Management during the Spring Training season.



As an intern, you‘ll work closely with TWO Major League Baseball teams-the San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners. You‘ll network with corporate sponsors, participate in marketing activation, assist with game day operations, and help execute in-game promotions. You‘ll also have the chance to explore areas like sales, ticketing, and production, making this a well-rounded opportunity to launch your career in sports.


Regular Duties Include:



  • Prepare for games and introduce clients/sponsors.
  • Handle office tasks and administrative duties.
  • Run in-game promotions and fulfill sponsorship commitments.
  • Distribute exit coupons and assist with post-game activities.

Expectations:



  • Work at least 3 games/15 hours per week (including one game Monday-Thursday).
  • Stick to your schedule, finding a substitute if needed.
  • Run in-game promotions independently or with limited to no supervision.

This is an unpaid internship.
