This client is an international organization that serves its members by providing a forum for the ethical exchange of information. This organization is dedicated to increasing knowledge through the exploration of issues relevant to its members in information technology, communications, and electronics for the defense, homeland security and intelligence communities.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Engage corporate members to increase retention.
  • Start new members’ online profiles, and review and approve updated profiles.
  • Schedule engagement strategy calls for corporate membership Director.
  • Create member and expiring member lists for companies who exhibit and sponsor.
  • Work with corporate Point of Contact to fill corporate roster
  • Maintain corporate member plaque inventory.
  • Oversee logistics for corporate member briefing.
  • Assist in preparing for monthly Small Business Committee Meetings.
  • Assist with small business program initiatives.
  • Assist with overseeing Corporate In-Box
  • Process receipts received via mail for membership.
  • Research and change bad email and business addresses.
  • Document corporate membership processes and update as needed.
  • Contact businesses and maintain records to renew corporate memberships.
  • Save monthly membership renewal invoices for corporate team
  • Backup for Corporate Development Coordinator


Role Specific Technical Competencies:

  • Computer relational database skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Working knowledge of simple accounting and budgeting procedures.
  • Proficiency required in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Access and PowerPoint is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with diverse audiences internal and external to the organization.

Education & Experience:

  • Education: College graduate or equivalent business experience.
  • Experience: Marketing experience desired. Experience with relational database functionality or browser-based relationship management software. Computer proficiency for Microsoft Office Suite required.

Work Environment/Conditions:

  • Only local candidates who are comfortable commuting to our office will be considered. Our office is located in Fairfax, VA.
