Charter Coordinator

Flexjet is currently seeking qualified individuals to join our Operations department as a Charter Coordinator. This position works closely with the Scheduling Department and outside suppliers to ensure all Owner trips are covered to meet company standards and the expectations of our Owners.

Responsibilities:

  • Request charter quotes from third party providers via phone, email, and/or web.
  • Develop an expert understanding of the aircraft in our fleet as well as available aircraft in the charter market (i.e. range, capacity, necessary runway length etc.)
  • Ensure that trips are scheduled on aircraft that meet owner expectations and specifications.
  • Identify and escalate issues of immediate importance to operations management and client services.
  • Negotiate pricing to optimize buying strategies.
  • Establish strong working relationships with charter vendors as well as develop new relationships.
  • Ensure Flexjet safety standards are met by vendors prior to every trip.
  • Flight follow every trip to ensure on time performance.
  • Audit and approve invoices for payment.
  • Monitor vendor performance and contract compliance.
  • Provide excellent customer service through prompt communication and fanatical attention to detail.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school; 1-3 years of related experience preferably in an aviation/logistics environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of FARs in regard to Part 91, 121, or 135 airline operations is preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the aptitude to learn customized company software programs.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Candidate should work well in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work productively, independently, or within a team.
  • Excellent oral/written communication and problem resolution skills are required.
  • Successful candidate will maintain a high level of professionalism while multi-tasking various real time situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Our operation is 365/24/7 and candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as schedule dictates.
