The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized with excellent communication skills, as well as excellent writing skills. As this position relies heavily on working with a cross-functional team, time flexibility is important. The candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment where everyone holds each other accountable and have the flexibility to meet during normal work hours and alternative hours as needed.


Responsibilities

●      Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on complex technical products and processes, collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather accurate and relevant information.

●      Documentation Development:

○      Plan, write, edit, and proofread technical documents, including user manuals, installation guides, troubleshooting guides, technical specifications, and online help systems.

○      Ensure documentation adheres to established style guides, templates, and quality standards.

○      Utilize various authoring tools and content management systems to create and maintain documentation.

●      Collaboration:

○      Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and customer support representatives, to understand product functionalities and user needs.

○      Participate in product development meetings to provide input on documentation requirements and user experience.

●      Continuous Improvement:

○      Actively seek feedback from users and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in documentation.

○      Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in technical writing.

●      Project Management:

○      Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.

○      Track and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks.


Qualifications

●      Education: Bachelor's degree in technical communication, engineering, science, or a related field.

Experience

○      Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical writing, with a strong focus on diagnostic instruments or similar technical products.

○      Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and easily understandable documentation.

○      Experience working with SMEs to gather information and develop accurate documentation.

Technical Skills

○      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

○      Proficiency in various authoring tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, DITA XML).

○      Familiarity with content management systems and version control tools.

○      Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

○      Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
