About the opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with an operational mindset and a strong sense of urgency to drive cross-functional initiatives forward. The ideal candidate excels at managing priorities, removing friction, and ensuring the team focuses on the right objectives. As the Project Manager, you will oversee a team of 5-6 professionals, leading them to achieve seamless integration, efficient execution, and productive cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Operational Focus: Quickly identify and resolve project friction points, maintaining high momentum and proactive problem-solving.
  • Prioritization & Resource Alignment: Ensure that resources are allocated effectively and that the team is focused on top priorities.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional efforts to align stakeholders, clarify requirements, and manage dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring efficient resource use and staying within financial limits.
  • Team Collaboration: Drive integration and collaboration among team members based in SF, San Jose, and offshore locations, creating a unified and agile workflow.
Required Qualifications:
  • Operational mindset with a high sense of urgency
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to work across boundaries
  • Ability to ask strategic questions and assess resource needs
  • Maturity and confidence to handle rising demands and keep projects on track
  • Experience in content generation, cross-functional collaboration, budget management, and team leadership
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence
Nice to Have:
  • Experience in eCommerce and/or mobile app projects

At Avenue Code, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for a Project Manager is about FTE USD 120K per year and USD 75-80 per hour.
