Contract Length: 3-6 months (with potential for conversion)
Job Overview:
We are looking for a Medical Billing Representative to join our team located in Indianapolis, IN and focus on patient account management for a specialty recurring account. This role involves managing multiple treatment cycles for patients while ensuring seamless follow-up on account issues, primarily focusing on denials from Anthem commercial payers. You will work closely with the team to streamline the account management process and resolve issues efficiently.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in follow-up on accounts and denial management, especially in the healthcare sector.
- Strong investigative skills to identify issues and provide solutions.
- Proficiency in multitasking, problem-solving, and adapting in a flexible work environment.
- Experience with Cerner and other Microsoft systems (Outlook, Excel, Teams) is (Preferred).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage follow-up activities on patient accounts, specifically focusing on denial management.
- Investigate account discrepancies and identify the core issues that need to be resolved.
- Provide efficient, detailed follow-up to ensure all account concerns are addressed.
- Work closely with the team to get familiar with this account and ensure successful handling of denials.
- Use Cerner and Microsoft systems (Outlook, Excel, Teams) for daily tasks.
